Do I have to pay?

The service we will provide is free. As a voluntary not-for profit service we appreciate the support of financial donations and any practical assistance. The services of Christian Counsellors registered with Sojourners differ in what they charge for their counselling services. The amount you pay for actual counselling is between you and the Counsellor.

Who is Sojourners for?

Everyone, irrespective of your faith journey and religious commitment. Sojourners seeks to support the individual person, believer or otherwise, the ministry of church leaders and Christian counsellors by linking those who need support with those who can provide it.

Who is Sojourners accountable to?

Accountability is a watchword for both Christian life and practice in relation to a relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord, as well as a principle of good counselling practice. At Sojourners we are happy to be advised. In the future a list of Sojourners advisers will be available.

Counsellor Membership

Counsellors who register for membership with Sojourners are asked to pay a donation for annual membership. The annual cost for registering as an individual member with Sojourners is the same as registering an actual counselling service, £35. Counsellors can choose if they want to pay a different amount, as we understand that many Counsellors counsel on a voluntary basis. A ballpark figure for a student Counsellors registration is £15, again you have the option if you want to pay more or less than this figure.
